I would love to read this book! Because, really, we all have friends…or want to have friends…or used to have friends. And in a world of virtual mass amounts of “friends” we all need to be reminded of how to be a good friend to a select and intimate few.

I would like to read this book because I struggle with friendships. Although I am an outgoing person, I’ve never a “joiner.” Even when I make a new friend, I often fail to keep in touch and the newly formed relationship fades. Sometimes friendships don’t really seem worth the effort to build and i think I’ll be just as happy staying home with my kids. (Because they already know me and like me as I am.) But friendships are worth it and this is something I’d like to change about myself.

    • Good point, Diane! I’ve been thinking about that lately, too… how our kids can be kind of “built in” friends. Which is a wonderful blessing… but grownup friends are, too! I can relate to the idea of being quick to form a friendship, but having a hard time finding time to really deepen it! You are not alone! AND… you won the book giveaway! I’ve emailed you so you can send me your mailing address 🙂

  3. Great review, Laura! I’d love to read this book, because life and love is all about relationships. No matter where we are on our life journey, there is always room for growth here.

I would love to read this book. My husband has sabbatical this summer and I am planning on reading a few books that will challenge and grow me this summer.

    • Oh, that’s wonderful to hear! Some well-deserved rest and family time! I really think this book is a good one to add to your list:) It helped me see how I’m not alone in all the weirdnesses I go through with friendships. Love to you, friend!

Friendships are so important but they are hard and they are work! I know I can bring my own baggage along, even as a grown up!

I would love to read this book. I feel as though I have “gone through” so many friendships, unsure if it is me. I’ve always wondered why I’m bad at keeping up with friends throughout the years. This seems to be exactly what I need in this season of my life! Thanks!

    • Hmmm, wow, totally agree! I never thought of it that way… “going through” friendships. Kind of like wearing out our clothes. Here’s to building friendships we’ll never outgrow! Thank you so much for sharing, Sara!

I would love to read this book. It’s to be right where I am in life and will shed light on many questions I have on friendships.
